On December 27, 2019, the project was approved with a loan of RMB 69 million from China CDM Fund and provided with guarantee by Beijing Gas Group.
The project mainly aims to build an independent distributed energy center in the Universal Studios Beijing, using the gas-fired combined cooling, heating and power (CCHP) system to supply energy within the park about 400,300 square meters. The project belongs to the category of clean energy development and utilization. After the project is completed, it will supply energy to the recreation area, hotel, supporting commercial and logistics office areas, effectively improve energy efficiency and reduce the use of conventional fossil energy. It’s estimated that a total amount of 9,640 tCO2e of carbon dioxide emissions can be reduced annually.
