The Ship Shore Power Supply System Construction Project of Guangzhou Port Company Limited

The project was approved with a concessional loan of RMB 69 million by China CDM Fund on November 21 2019 and guaranteed by Guangzhou Port Group.
The project will majorly construct shore power system equipment on the waterfronts of the Guangzhou Port Group. It belongs to energy conservation and energy efficiency. After the completion of the project, ships can close its own auxiliary fuel generators when parking at the port, and get power from the onshore power supply systems, thereby reducing noise pollution and fuel consumption and improving energy efficiency. It’s estimated that 2,270 tCO2e of greenhouse gas emissions can be reduced per year.
