Three Project Were Approved with China CDM Fund Concessional Loan

Yancheng Daji Environment Food Waste Collection, Transportation and Disposal Project, Nanjing Jinlong Bus Project and Shanghai Shenergy Qingpu Thermal Power Project were Approved with China CDM Fund Concessional Loan

On December 26, 2018, China Clean Development Mechanism Fund Management Center (hereinafter referred to as “the CDM Fund”) issued Reply Letter to approve the grant of the CDM concessional loan to Urban Food Waste Collection, Transportation and Disposal Project by Yancheng Daji Environment Technology Co., Ltd, Annual Production of 20,000 Refitted Buses and New Energy Refitted Bus Relocation and Renovation Project (Phase Ⅱ Part of Light Bus) by Nanjing Jinlong Bus Manufacture Co., Ltd. and Newly Built of Energy Supply Center in Qingpu Industrial Park Project by Shanghai Shenergy Qingpu Thermal Power Co., Ltd. The 3 projects were approved loans a total of RMB 11.9 million and can leverage social capital of RMB 79,273 million. It’s estimated that totally 66,924 tCO2e of greenhouse gas emissions can be reduced directly while 17,889tCO2e can be cut down indirectly annually

ⅠUrban Food Waste Collection, Transportation and Disposal Project by Yancheng Daji Environment Technology Co., Ltd

The project is under the mode of “Green Innovation Investment Business” jointly implemented by the CDM Fund, Jiangsu Province Finance Bureau and Bank of Jiangsu. The CDM Fund and Bank of Jiangsu co-financed the project with concessional loan of RMB 28 million, among which RMB 14 million is approved by the CDM Fund and guaranteed by Bank of Jiangsu. Jiangsu Province Finance Bureau provides moderate interest subsidy to the project enterprise.

The project is mainly about newly-built of a production line which is able to collect and dispose food waste of 100 tons daily, 12 food waste garbage trucks, 5 wasted oil and fat collecting vehicles and relevant facilities. When finished, the project will annually collect and dispose food wastes of 36,500 tons, and annually product biogas of 1.46 million cubic meters and crude oil of 1,241 tons.The project helps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by avoiding the emission of methane produced by landfilling food waste.

ⅡAnnual Production of 20,000 Refitted Buses and New Energy Refitted Bus Relocation and Renovation Project (Phase Ⅱ Part of Light Bus) by Nanjing Jinlong Bus Manufacture Co., Ltd.

The project is under the mode of “Green Innovation Investment Business” cooperated among the CDM Fund, Jiangsu Province Finance Bureau and Bank of Jiangsu. The CDM Fund and Bank of Jiangsu co-financed the project with concessional loan of RMB 13,800, among which RMB 6,900 million is approved by the CDM Fund and guaranteed by Bank of Jiangsu. Jiangsu Province Finance Bureau will provide moderate interest subsidy to the project enterprise.

The project will construct various workshops and outbuildings, purchase 344 units (sets) of relevant production and detection equipment. Upon completion, annual production of 6,000 light buses can be realized. By building up production lines, the project will upgrade and renovate light buses to use new energy buses to replace fuel ones, which can effectively lower energy consumption by vehicles, decrease exhaust and finally reduce greenhouse gas emissions. 

 

ⅢNew Energy Supply Center Project in Qingpu Industrial Park by Shanghai Shenergy Qingpu Thermal Power Co., Ltd.

The project was approved with loans of RMB 36 million, guaranteed by Shenergy Group Finance Co., Ltd. It will newly build up 3 50t/h and 1.3MPa gas-fired boilers and affiliated facilities. When the project is completed, demand for heat supply by all the enterprises in Qingpu Industrial Park can be basically satisfied. Under this project, original coal boilers in heat supply area will be taken place by gas-fired ones, in such a way, energy utilization rate can be elevated while fuel consumption will be cut down, thus achieves greenhouse gas emission reduction.
