2 Projects of China Southern Power Grid Integrated Energy Co., Ltd. were Granted with China CDM Fund Concessional Loan

On November13th, 2018, China CDM Fund Management Center issued the Reply Letter to approve the grant of the CDM concessional loan to CAPSA Distributed Photovoltaic Project (Phase 1) and Roof Distributed Photovoltaic Power Generation Project of Guangdong Midea Environment Electrical Appliance Manufacture Co., Ltd., which both belong to China Southern Power Grid Integrated Energy Co., Ltd. Agricultural Bank of China Company Limited Guangzhou Taojin Sub-Branch guarantees for financing of the CDM Fund. The 2 projects gained loans of RMB 76 million and can leverage social capital of RMB 183.5 million. It’s estimated that greenhouse gas emissions can be reduced by 29,234tCO2e annually.

(I) CAPSA Distributed Photovoltaic Project (Phase 1)

The project mainly aims to build up an 18.74MW grid-connected photovoltaic power generation station and corresponding supporting facilities on plant roofs and parking lots of CAPSA. If the project completed, it will provide power for plants of CAPSA, which is to the benefit of cutting down consumption of regular energies and balancing the single energy supply. 13,907 tCO2e of greenhouse gas will be reduced annually. The project was granted with a loan of RMB 36 million.

(II) Guangdong Midea Environment Appliance Manufacture Co., Ltd. Roof Distributed Photovoltaic Power Generation Project

The project is mainly about the construction of a 20.87MW grid-connected photovoltaic power generation station and corresponding supporting facilities on plant roofs of Phase 1 and Phase 2 plant areas. If the project completed, it is able to provide power for plants of Guangdong Midea Environment Appliance Manufacture Co., Ltd. and transmit clean and renewable energies, thus effectively lower consumption of regular energies, especially coal resources and decrease multiple air pollutants. Greenhouse gas emissions can be cut down by 15,327 tCO2e annually. The project was approved with a loan of RMB 40 million.
