Shanxi Province: Houma City Co-generation Heat Supply Project Phase II for Dongcheng New District and Luxi District by Houma City Urban and Rural Gas

The project was granted a concessional loan of RMB 50 million on March 16, 2017. It will install 81 heating stations, including 38 heating stations with capacity of 100,000 square meters and 43 heating stations with capacity of 150,000 square meters, and 38 km of heating pipelines and auxiliary facilities. It uses central heating to replace the inefficient coal-fired small boilers scattered in the area to effectively reduce the comprehensive energy consumption and emissions of carbon dioxide emission and other waste gas and residue, thus saving energy and reducing emission. The project belongs to the category of energy saving and efficiency improving. The project can leverage private capitals of 271.89 million RMB. After being put into operation, it is estimated to reduce greenhouse gas emission by 26,360 tCO2e annually.
