The project was granted a concessional loan of RMB 40 million yuan on July 28, 2016. It mainly includes purchasing and installing 395 sets of equipment including water chillers, rectifying columns and so on as well as transforming the production plant to upgrade the ultrapure ammonia production line and hydrogen from natural gas production line. Once completed, it will increase the annual output by 2,000 tons of ultrapure ammonia and 6 million cubic meters of high-purity hydrogen. By recycling the massive heat energy created during the hydrogen production process to be used in the ultrapure ammonia purification process line and at the same time installing efficient energy-saving equipment, it replaces the current electrical heating system and therefore reduces power consumption and greenhouse gas emission. The project belongs to the category of energy saving and efficiency improving. It can leverage RMB 90 million yuan of private funds. Once put into operation, it is estimated to cut greenhouse gas emission by 3,200tCO2e annually.
