China SERC to promote full purchase of renewable energy generated electricity

BEIJING, Apr. 16 (Xinhua) – China's State Electricity Regulatory Commission (SERC) will take measures to promote the full purchase of electricity generated from renewable energy sources, according to Chen Tao, deputy director with the Power Transmission Administration Department under the SERC.
Chen made the remarks at the 6th China New Energy International Forum held in Beijing, reported China Securities Journal on Monday.
The SERC is now working with the National Energy Administration (NEA) to standardize activities in grid connection and account settlement between power plants and grid companies, through carrying out researches for the utilization of wind power, solar power and small hydropower generated electricity, and formulating model texts for the electricity purchase and sale contract and grid network scheduling agreement that are suitable for renewable energy generated electricity, said Chen.
However, the difficulties in renewable energy generated electricity's grid connection and electricity settlement still exist, Chen added.
