On April 9, approved by existing prospective founding members, Malta and Kyrgyzstan officially became prospective founding members of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).

On April 10, approved by existing prospective founding members, Turkey officially became the prospective founding member of the AIIB.

On April 11, approved by existing prospective founding members, Spain, South Korea and Austria officially became prospective founding members of the AIIB.

On April 12, approved by existing prospective founding members, Holland, Brazil, Finland, Georgia and Denmark officially became prospective founding members of the AIIB.

Up to now, the number of prospective founding members of the AIIB has increased to 46, including Austria, Bangladesh, Brazil, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Denmark, France, Finland, Georgia, Germany, India, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Jordan, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Maldives, Malta, Mongolia, Burma, Nepal, Holland, New Zealand, Oman, Pakistan, the Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the U.K., Uzbekistan and Vietnam.
