On April 11th to 12th 2013, the Supervision and Inspection Bureau under MOF and China CDM Fund jointly held the third workshop on Climate Change Response & National Revenue Payment. The workshop aimed at strengthening local financial ombudsman office's understanding of climate change response and ecological development in the new era. 15 offices from Yunnan, Sichuan and other provinces participated in the training. Director General Chen Huan of the Fund,Deputy Director General Zhangqiang of the supervision and inspection bureau, deputy commissioner Zhang Jianmin of Xiamen ombudsman office took part in the workshop.
Experts from Ministry of Environment Protection, Peking University, the Financial Science Institute, and Carbon Finance Investment Corporation were invited to give lectures revolving around climate change, international convention on climate change and international negotiation progress, carbon market and carbon finance, ecological civilization, fiscal policies on energy conservation and emission reduction, business of China CDM Fund, etc.
The participants gave a high praise to the training. They believed the reasonable curriculum provision, meticulous policy interpretation, and in-depth discussion all deepened their understanding of national climate change response and ecological development.
The workshop also set a special subject of national revenue collection, which summed up the experiences of national revenue collection, and explored the united collection model in the new era.
