Assistant Finance Minister Zheng Xiaosong at Signing Ceremony of Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Shanxi

The signing ceremony of Strategic Cooperation Agreement between China CDM Fund and Shanxi government was held in Taiyuan Shanxi on July 9th 2012.
Assistant Minister Zheng Xiaosong and deputy governor Li Xiaopeng of Shanxi province participated in the ceremony. Chen Huan, Director General of China CDM Fund Management Center, and Zheng Jianguo, Director General of the Finance Bureau of Shanxi province，signed the agreement on behalf of both parties.
Assistant Minister Zheng Xiaosong held a conversation with deputy governor Li Xiaopeng Before the ceremony. Zheng Xiaosong said that Shanxi province, as a key national energy and heavy chemical industry base, emphasized energy conservation and emission reduction and regarded it as a way to transform development model. In recent years, Shanxi province has developed its own low carbon development path. Meanwhile, the cooperation between China CDM Fund and Shanxi government was deepened. At present, CDM Fund supports 5 concessional loan projects in Shanxi, totaling 265 million. Through the ceremony, the two parties would be strategic partners. The Fund will increase the scale and types of current cooperation programs, put into the practice of international experiences, capital and emission reduction technology, and bring more social resources into sustainable economic development of Shanxi province.
Executive vice governor Li Xiaopeng expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Finance for its support and care, and said that the province had made a solid step toward a new Shanxi. He pointed out that the industrial structure and development goal are closely correlated with the purpose and investment area of CDM Fund. Shanxi province will utilize the advantages of international financial organizations and CDM Fund to promote energy conservation and emission reduction work, and achieve the goal of building a new Shanxi.
People from China CDM Fund Management Centre, Shanxi government and relevant departments participated in the ceremony.
