Director General Chen Huan Participated in the Symposium on International Finance Issues in Yunnan Province

On Nov 16th 2011, Chen Huan, director general of China CDM Fund Management Center, participated in the symposium on international finance issues sponsored by the finance bureau of Yunnan province. Zhang Zhenyu, deputy director general of Yunnan finance bureau, and Ban Yanguo, vice governor of Dehong prefecture of Yunnan province, took part in and addressed the symposium. A total of 106 delegates from international finance system on prefecture and city level, relevant units and enterprises were present in the symposium.
At the meeting, deputy director general Zhang Zhenyu summed up their achievements, experience and major problems of the Yunnan external finance work in the past 27 years. He pointed out that Yunnan finance system would assist the fund to fulfill some projects, and endeavor to acquire the fund’s investment support as early as possible.
Director General Chen Huan gave a detailed introduction of the background, work focus and potential advantages of the fund. He emphasized the importance of addressing climate change and pointed out we should fully utilize the strategy of western development and the strategy of opening Yunnan province to southwest to develop low carbon economy and transform economic structure. China CDM Fund, as a creative financing mechanism, is willing to cooperate with Yunnan finance bureau to make contributions to the sustainable development of Yunnan province.
