On March 2, 2020, the project was approved with the China CDM Fund concessional loan of RMB 69 million, guaranteed by the Zhengzhou Branch of Industrial Bank.
The main component of the project is to build new waste reception and pretreatment system, a waste incineration system, an ash and slag treatment system, a turbine power generation and heating system, a flue gas purification system, a salt water removal system, an automatic control system and other auxiliary facilities. It is equipped with a 3 × 750 ton/day mechanical grate furnace and a 2×25 MW condensing steam turbine generator set. The project belongs to the category of comprehensive utilization of resources. After completion of the project, 750,000 tons of waste can be processed each year, and 324 million kilowatt-hours of on-grid power can be provided annually. By using the waste incineration power generation technology to dispose waste harmlessly and utilize waste comprehensively, the project can effectively mitigate environmental pollution, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and thereby achieve carbon reductions.
