Solar energy to be the center of future new energy system

TIANJIN, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) – A brand new energy system that based upon solar energy and supplemented by other renewable energy sources will evolve globally during 2012-2020, predicted Gao Jifan, chairman and CEO with Trina Solar (TSL.NYSE), a leading integrated manufacturer of solar photovoltaic products from ingots to modules in China. Gao made the remarks on Tuesday during the 2012 summer Davos forum held in north China's port city Tianjin. The CEO pointed out that the energy use structure currently had the problem with uneven distribution and limited reserves of conventional energy resources such as oil, gas and coal, where renewable energy showed clear advantages with their widely distribution and abundant supply.
Renewable energy generated power, with their prices becoming more and more affordable thanks to technological innovations, would play a great role in meeting the world's growing demand for energy as well as advancing the development of developing economies, said Gao.
