China solar industry to have big development opportunity in 2011-2020

TIANJIN, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- China's solar energy industry will have big development opportunity during 2012-2020, not only in domestic market but also in other emerging and developing economies , said Gao Jifan, Chairman and chief executive officer of China's Trina Solar (TSL.NYSE).
Gao made the remarks on Tuesday during the 2012 summer Davos forum held in north China's harbor city Tianjin.According to Gao, solar power prices will approach those of conventional energy in the future with large-scale distributed power generation and utilization is expected to replace the current on-grid mode.Gao also believes that China and Europe Union will find a proper way to solve the solar trade dispute because cooperation and global trade are the most efficient way to bring down the cost of renewable energy thus create win-win results for both parties.
