Jingsheng to join forces with REC Silicon in crystalline R&D

BEIJING, May 16 (Xinhua) –Zhejiang Jingsheng Mechanical & Electrical Co. Ltd (300316.SZ) announced on Wednesday that it would join forces with Renewable Energy Corporation (REC)'s subsidiary, REC Silicon, in areas of crystalline silicon growing technology research and development (R&D).
The company said that it was to sign a cooperation agreement with REC Silicon on May 17.
Jingsheng would work with REC Silicon to set up a utilization and R&D center in Shangyu city, southeast China's Zhejiang province, the company said.
REC is a leading vertically integrated solar energy company headquartered in Sandvika, Norway, while its REC Silicon unit is one of the largest silicon material producers in the world.
